Product Description

Product Description

forede® presents the Z45X Flange End Non-Rising Stem (NRS) Gate Valve, a robust solution engineered for reliable flow control and shut-off in various piping systems.

This valve boasts impressive features: its flange end complies with ANSI150LB, GB Standard, and BS Standard, ensuring seamless integration into diverse infrastructure. The stem is made of 2CR13 Stainless Steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and structural strength. Both the bonnet and body are constructed from Ductile Iron QT450, delivering exceptional durability under high-pressure conditions. The seal features Ductile Iron QT450 covered by NBR, providing tight sealing performance to prevent leakage. Additionally, the surface finishing is Epoxy Red or Blue, offering long-lasting corrosion protection and visual versatility.

A comprehensive range of models is available, spanning from 2 Inch (50 mm) to 14 Inch (350 mm). All models utilize flange end connections, feature a non-rising stem (NRS) valve type, and operate at a working pressure of 1.0/1.6 Mpa, with color options of Red or Blue to suit different installation environments.

Designed and manufactured by forede® with strict quality controls, the Z45X Flange End NRS Gate Valve is an ideal choice for applications such as municipal water supply, industrial process pipelines, and sewage systems, where dependable flow regulation and long-term performance are essential.

FAQ

1. Advantage of Non-Rising Stem (NRS) Design

Q: What's the benefit of the NRS (Non-Rising Stem) design in this gate valve?
A: The NRS design means the stem doesn't rise when opening/closing, saving vertical space. It's ideal for tight spaces like underground pipelines, where vertical clearance is limited.

2. NBR Seal Media Compatibility

Q: What fluids should be avoided with the NBR-coated ductile iron seal?
A: NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) works well with water, oil, and general industrial fluids. Avoid strong acids, alkalis, ketones, or esters-these can damage NBR and cause leaks. For such media, use a valve with FKM seals.

3. Installation Flow Direction

Q: Does this gate valve have a required flow direction during installation?
A: Gate valves are bi-directional (seal both ways). But install according to the "flow arrow" or common fluid direction for even gate stress. This ensures longer seal life and smooth operation.

4. Maintenance Frequency and Key Checks

Q: How often should this valve be maintained, and what parts need attention?
A: Maintain every 3-6 months. Focus on: lubricating the 2CR13 stainless steel stem (use grease), inspecting the NBR seal for cracks/wear, checking flange connections for leaks, and ensuring the handwheel turns smoothly.

5. Sizing for Piping

Q: How to choose the right valve size (e.g., 2 inch vs. 14 inch)?
A: Match the valve size to your pipe's nominal diameter (DN). For a DN50 pipe, choose Z45X-16Q-50 (2 inch); for DN350, choose Z45X-16Q-350 (14 inch). This ensures proper flow and no installation issues.

6. 2CR13 Stem Corrosion Protection

Q: How to protect the 2CR13 stainless steel stem in humid environments?
A: 2CR13 resists rust well, but in humid or coastal areas, clean the stem regularly and apply a stainless-steel protectant. This prevents corrosion and ensures smooth operation.

7. Handwheel Operation Torque

Q: Is the handwheel hard to turn, and does torque change with valve size?
A: Torque increases with valve size-larger valves (e.g., 14 inch) need more force than smaller ones (e.g., 2 inch). If turning is stiff, check for stem corrosion or insufficient lubrication.

8. Epoxy Coating Durability Outdoors

Q: How long does the epoxy red/blue coating last in outdoor conditions?
A: In typical outdoor environments, the epoxy coating lasts 5-8 years. Inspect yearly for chipping; touch up with matching epoxy paint if damaged.

9. Working Pressure Selection

Q: When to use 1.0MPa vs. 1.6MPa working pressure?
A: Choose 1.0MPa for low-pressure systems and 1.6MPa for higher-pressure applications. Never let your system's pressure exceed the valve's working pressure to avoid damage.

10. NRS Gate Valve vs. Rising Stem Gate Valve

Q: When is this NRS gate valve better than a rising stem gate valve?
A: NRS gate valves save vertical space (ideal for underground/limited clearance areas). Rising stem valves let you see the stem position to judge open/closed status. Use NRS when space is tight; rising stem when visual status is needed.
